«FOLLOW YOUR NATURE« – FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2016, MARC O’POLO WILL ONCE AGAIN BE BRINGING THIS SUCCESSFUL BRAND COMMUNICATION CONCEPT TO LIFE WITH AN EXCITING CAMPAIGN. «FOLLOW YOUR NATURE« UNDERLINES THE PHILOSOPHY MARC O’POLO HAS BEEN LIVING FOR ALMOST 50 YEARS – STAYING TRUE TO YOURSELF IN EVERYTHING YOU DO.
For the Spring/Summer 2016 campaign, star photographer Bruce Weber invited us to Sky View, his home in Montauk, Long Island. Hideaway, Weekend Escape, creative shelter
– tucked away on the eastern end of the island, this small village immediately drew Josh Hartnett, Dree Hemingway and the MARC O’POLO team under its spell. What’s more,
we couldn’t have asked for a better location to shoot. Working with Bruce Weber, surrounded by his friends, acquaintances, and neighbours, a campaign came into being that
captures the charisma of the protagonists and communicates the two themes of the Spring/Summer 2016 collection in equal measure: “Natural High” for womenswear and
“Natural Explorer” for menswear.
The collection themes «Natural High« for women and «Natural Explorer« for men provide the inspiration of the Spring/Summer 2016 Casual
collections and reflect the modern, urban MARC O’POLO lifestyle. Both collections follow the MARC O’POLO preference for high-quality natural materials while highlighting
core competencies such as knit and jersey by bringing them into a contemporary context.
Summerly, typically MARC O’POLO stripes in womenswear and casual looks in menswear are the key elements for this season. In the men’s pieces, flowing fabrics such as linen and cotton take centre stage, while the highlight of the women’s collection in Spring/Summer 2016 is a selection of blouses created in cooperation with the renowned Italian textile manufacturer Cangioli 1859.
With strong snapshots – almost iconic in character – and a collection which skilfully presents natural materials at their best, the MARC O’POLO casual range for the Spring/
Summer 2016 collection is presented in the way it is intended to be: uncomplicated, informal, and yet sophisticated. Bruce Weber has pulled off the considerable feat of capturing the natural feel both of the collection and of the protagonists, thereby offering an insight into the world of MARC O’POLO and its brand ambassadors – it’s an insight we want to share our customers. And that is why this year’s issue of the MARC O’POLO Diary is dedicated exclusively to the star photographer and our product highlights.
